This swimming area features a sunbathing lawn with public restroom facilities (open during swimming season from April through October), a beach volleyball court, a barefoot trail, and the “Pirate Bay at Hennesee” adventure playground.
Right next to the “Piratenbucht am Hennesee” adventure playground is a modern drinking water fountain. Here, visitors can enjoy fresh drinking water for free and refill their water bottles—perfect for a refreshing break during a family outing. The drinking water fountain is in operation daily from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. from May through October
.
In addition, there is a foot shower on the barefoot trail for refreshment.
When the weather is suitable for swimming, the swimming area in Berghauser Bucht is supervised by the DRLG Meschede and DRLG Schmallenberg.
From April 1 through October 31, the public restrooms in Berghauser Bucht are open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. An emergency hotline can be reached at 0291-205-352.
