Accessibility Statement for Services

As part of our accessibility statement, we would like to provide you with an overview of the extent to which the service(s) described below comply with the accessibility requirements set forth in applicable laws (in particular the Accessibility Enhancement Act—BFSG).

Information on the Service Provider

Sauerland-Tourismus e.V.
Johannes-Hummel-Weg 1

General Description of the Service

Management and marketing for the SauerlandRadring

Explanations regarding the provision of the service

Through our website www.sauerlandradring.de, we provide information for visitors and those interested in the SauerlandRadring, covering topics such as route planning, destinations, lodging options, dining, and how to get there.

Status of Compliance with Requirements

The service described above is partially compliant with the Accessibility Enhancement Act (BFSG).

The following parts/content/features of the service are not accessible:

  • Images and graphical user interface elements do not consistently have unambiguous alternative text.
  • The programmatically detectable heading hierarchy sometimes differs from the page’s content structure.
  • Form fields that refer to the user themselves do not convey the purpose of the respective field via a language-independent attribute.
  • The contrast requirements for text—such as error messages in the contact form and borders around input fields in the form—are not consistently met.
  • The contrast requirements for text on images are not consistently met.
  • Individual section markings are missing.
  • The focus order is not consistently predictable.
  • When navigating with a keyboard, the focus is not consistently visible.
  • Error indicators are not clearly linked to the form fields.
  • The HTML syntax is not consistently valid.
  • The name, role, or state of not all user controls can be determined by assistive technologies (e.g., screen readers).
  • Not all PDF documents are accessible.
  • Third-party content is embedded on the website, and we have no direct control over its accessibility. Therefore, in these areas, structured keyboard navigation, consistent HTML syntax, and sufficient color contrast, among other things, cannot always be guaranteed.
  • Not all embedded videos have captions or an alternative text version. Since this content is primarily illustrative (e.g., nature and mood shots), essential information is generally not conveyed exclusively through the video.
