The Ruhr-Sieg-Radweg connects the Ruhr and Sieg rivers. Around half of the route runs along former railroad lines and allows for low gradient cycling in the low mountain range landscape. The route starts at the train station in Meschede via Eslohe to Finnentrop. There is plenty to discover along the way - for example the DampfLandLeute Museum in Eslohe or the famous "bat tunnel" near Fehrenbracht.

From Finnentrop, the route goes via Attendorn to Olpe. This route leads along the Biggesee, one of the largest reservoirs in Westfalen, and the historic Altstadts of Attendorn and Olpe are also worth a detour. From Olpe, the route first heads to Wenden. Here it is worth visiting the Wendener Hütte, the oldest and still excellently preserved charcoal blast furnace in the German-speaking world.

The cycle route leads through the 400 m long Hohenhain Tunnel to the historic town center of Freudenberg in Siegerland and from there to Niederfischbach, where the Siegerland Cathedral is a great place to take a break. Finally, the route leads to Kirchen an der Sieg, where the 20 m high basalt formation of the Druidenstein cult site in the district of Herkersdorf is well worth a detour.
