The half-timbered house in Oestinghausen, which dates back to the 16th century, is an example of half-timbering that has been preserved in Lippetal. The richly decorated half-timbered façade is striking. In addition to this house, half-timbered buildings have been preserved in all parts of Lippetal and provide a contrast to new and more modern buildings.
Today, the Oestinghausen local history association maintains a central museum Heimathaus in this building.
The premises are also used for weddings in the municipality of Lippetal.
