To the east of the outer bailey of Körtlinghausen Castle with its farm buildings, there is also a sawmill from the 19th century in an ensemble of outbuildings (including a residential house and distillery). It is one of the typical local historical and technical economic facilities of the castle's estate, which was mainly dominated by forestry, with its associated extensive forest districts.
