The Chapel of the Cross, which has been given a fresh coat of paint, was completed in 1872 as a worthy conclusion to the existing Way of the Cross and dedicated to Hl. Kreuz.
Since then, the chapel has lent the idyllic Stillenberg the character of a Calvary. A massive, meter-high stone cross with the crucified Lord Jesus Christ rises up in front of its portal, adding immensely to this character. The chapel is a popular place to find peace and quiet in prayer and invites hikers to pause and linger.
