The design of the traffic circle cites examples of early stone circles in Europe: eight stone wedges made of Anröchte green sandstone are placed in a circle on the earth mound of the traffic circle. The positioning of the stone blocks is aligned with the cardinal points, like the division of the compass into eights.
The eight stone points refer to the eight-pointed Sälzer star in the coat of arms of the municipality of Bad Sassendorf.
