This pearl of the early Gothic period, as it is also known in art history, clearly shows the beginning of the building in the east with its transitional forms of Romanesque and Gothic and then allows the forms of the Gothic period to emerge more and more clearly.
the smooth choir, the two-bay high hall church and the polygonal tower section together form the church interior. The south side is also the visible side and is therefore more magnificently designed in many details than the north side. The south portal, which displays all the characteristics of the transitional style, is outstanding. St. Nicholas, the patron saint of burghers and merchants, is enthroned in the tympanum
and the church was built both inside and out in the transitional style and early Gothic style. Artfully designed individual forms and balanced spatial relationships form a rarely achieved artistic unity here, which stems from the faith of the time and still serves to glorify God in a special way today
